Sound of Music Review

Producing The Sound of Music was always going to be a mountain to climb-but staying true to the motto of the show, on July 9th 2009, we made it.

Working with a cast and crew totalling one hundred students, narrowing down the process from the two hundred and fifty initially interested, was an exciting and brilliant experience.

Rehearsals started in February, and almost instantly we knew we had a perfect cast. Reflecting back, it is uplifting to see how the students involved have become so close over time, and how the cast and crew have become a family.

The performances, coming after five months of gruelling rehearsals and emotional weeks, were fantastic-two full houses and one matinee-with all the cast and crew giving their all to create such a spectacle.

Miss Vice and I would like to say 'thank you' to all those who helped with the production and to tell our very own Austrian family that we are incredibly proud of the work put in!
