Sixth Form at South Wilts Grammar School

We would like to welcome you to South Wilts Grammar School. We have a long and successful history of providing an excellent learning environment for our students and run an exciting Sixth Form in collaboration with Bishop Wordsworth's School. With over 600 students jointly and the facilities of both schools, we are the largest Sixth Form in the County and offer a very wide range of AS and A Level subjects.

Each year more than 80 students join us in the Sixth Form at South Wilts from other schools and quickly become integrated into academic and social life. Our prime concern is your personal welfare and the successful completion of your studies. You will need to work hard and you will receive first class tuition, strong pastoral support and a wide range of extra curricular opportunities to enable you to give your best. Our results are excellent; all students, both new and old, do well.

To enter the Sixth Form you will need to have gained a minimum of 6 GCSE passes at grades A* to C. If you want to continue a subject to AS/A2 level, you will need to achieve at least a B grade and least a B grade in English, Maths or Science. We expect students to study 4 AS level subjects and AS level General Studies
