GCSE Results

South Wilts Grammar School celebrates another year of outstanding GCSE results

Another outstanding set of results for the 129 Year 11 students was greeted with delight and excitement as so many students exceeded their expectations. 100% of the year group gained 5 A*- C grades, including English and Mathematics. 84% of the examinations taken were awarded A* and A grades, which is a huge increase from last year's 81%. The hard work and commitment of the students is exceptional and they deserve this success.

Rebecca Storey gained A*s in all 13.5 subjects. Six students gained 13 A* grades in all their subjects - Hannah Flint, Victoria James, Fiona Mashford, Faye Robertson, Lucy Smith, Rebecca Story and Abigail Tan. A total of 57 students achieved all A / A* grades in 10 or more subjects.

Headteacher Frances Stratton said, 'This is another amazing set of results for the school; students, teachers and parents have every reason to feel proud. The numbers of students achieving the very highest grades has improved again and this is our best year yet'.
