A Cappella Workshop

The A Cappella Trust sponsored a workshop in September taken by Ben Parry, Head of the Junior Department of the Royal Academy of Music and an eminent singer, choral conductor and arranger.

This proved to be an immensely happy evening where everyone learned a great deal, had a wonderful time and sang beautifully.

As well as working on a range of our current repertoire the choir enjoyed singing one of Ben's own compositions which we hope to include in the Carol Service this year. (Mrs Poppleton)

A Cappella Eucharist

A Cappella has very much enjoyed preparing to sing Eucharist in Salisbury Cathedral on 18th October. The choir is singing Mozart's

Missa Brevis in Bb mass setting and the anthem Strengthen ye the weak hands by Harris which was written for St. Luke's Day.We remain very grateful to the men who join us to sing such beautiful and challenging repertoire and to Mr Fay for playing the organ.
