Last night, SWGS welcomed guests to its 94th speech day. It was an opportunity to celebrate student success and thank the staff for their contribution and commitment.
Guest speaker and alumna, Emma Scrivener, reflected on her time at SWGS, recalling, “how the staff at school empowered and encouraged us. Now I’m in the workplace, I have tried to embody some of these values, by being a manager who takes the time to listen and empower my team.” Emma continued, “South Wilts is a very special place and provided me with the confidence and grounding to pursue my passions. It has empowered me to seize opportunities and indeed roll with the punches. There is no doubt you will all be going onwards and upwards as you leave this place – the destination you may not know yet but my advice? Enjoy the ride!”
Mrs Chilcott said, “South Wilts is a thriving school community where academic excellence and compassion go hand in hand. I am immensely proud to be headteacher of this school.”
