Congratulations to Rose in Year 10 who won the intermediate age category of the Chaucer Heritage Trust’s Canterbury Tales Writing Competition 2023/24 on the theme of ‘Being Part of a Group.’ Rose, who has a passion for English, wrote her winning poem about her friendship group. The winning prize included an incredible £1000 for our school library.
The Chaucer Heritage Trust was founded in 1992 and aims to further interest, understanding and appreciation of the works of Geoffrey Chaucer, his life and times and influence. The 2024/25 competition entitled ‘Surprise, Surprise!’ is open for entries until 28 February 2025.
