A huge thank you to everyone in our wonderful SWGS community who helped make our very first Ground Force Day such a fantastic success! Whether you planted, donated, dug or cheered us on – your support made such a difference. We were thrilled to see the incredible response to our tutor group bulb competition, which led to an amazing 7,500+ bulbs donated! The winning year group and tutor group will be revealed in assemblies this week.
On Saturday, we were joined by over 90 enthusiastic volunteers from across the SWGS community who rolled up their sleeves, trowels in hand, to plant bulbs, transform our vegetable plot, and fill and line 25 planters in our quads. The energy, teamwork and smiles on display were a true celebration of community spirit. It was inspiring to see students, families, staff, trustees and Friends of SWGS all coming together with such passion and purpose. Thank you for helping us bring our grounds to life – we can’t wait to see the bulbs flower in spring and utilise the wonderful space we have on the veg plot for growing our own produce. We look forward to sharing the results of our hard work in the months to come.
