Congratulations to Joni, Katie and Ren who were voted by their peers to represent SWGS at the Wiltshire Youth Council.
There were eight SWGS candidates from Years 10 to 12 who put themselves forward. All candidates engaged in a week of campaigning, prior to voting week, which included a Meet the Candidates event in the main hall, visits to tutor bases, attending extra-curricular activities and making themselves visible to the SWGS community, and hosting a final Q+A session to end the week.
The results were announced on 9th February and our new Wiltshire Youth Councillors will be attending their first official meeting on 2nd March.
We would like to take this opportunity to wish them all well in their new roles and to thank everyone who put themselves forward for this leadership opportunity.
